July 29, 2014 10:15 pm | Updated 10:15 pm IST - VISAKHAPATNAM:

A photo exhibition will be organised by the Waltair Division of East Coast Railway (ECoR) to commemorate completion of 161 years of Indian Railways, at Srinivasa Kalyana Mandapam near Visakha Rail Club, Station Road, from August 1 to 4.

Rare photographs portraying the journey of the Indian Railways will be displayed at the exhibition, reviving the nostalgia of passengers with ancient trains, engines, and political dignitaries making their journeys, according to Senior Divisional Commercial Manager M. Yelvender Yadav.

Photographs depicting station architecture, locomotives, personalities, carriages and wagons and men at work will be displayed at the exhibition.

The exhibition will be of interest to school and college students, and the general public as they could view the unique models with actual working of signals, functioning of tracks, railway stations, and running of trains.

The exhibition will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and entry is free. All are invited to this exhibition.
