12 injured as college bus overturns in Vizag

About 12 students were seriously injured and some others sustained simple injuries when a bus in which they were travelling overturned near Kondakarla Ava under Atchutapuram Police Station limits in the district on Wednesday. The bus, belonging to a private college at Munagapaka, was going to college carrying some 30 Intermediate students.

The driver was allegedly going at a high speed on the narrow roads and lost control while trying to overtake another bus. The seriously injured students were identified as: U. Bharati, B Parvathi, G Venkatesh, S Pavani, C Varaprasad, P Hema, M. Mallesh and A Ramesh. The injured students were admitted to Government Hospital at Anakapalle. Atchutapuram Police are investigating the case.
