10-hour padayatra to mark NTR death anniversary

Telugu Desam City unit president and MLA Visakha South Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar is planning a 10-hour padayatra in the City on Sunday to mark the 19{+t}{+h}death anniversary of founder of TDP and former chief minister NT Rama Rao.

The yatra beginning from the NTR Statue on the Beach Road would pass through 13 wards in the city, according to a statement issued here. The padayatra would mainly cover the wards in the Visakha South Assembly segment.

The programme is being taken up to create awareness among the people on the welfare schemes being taken up by the Telugu Desam Government under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.

The Telugu Desam government is following the path set by its founder NT Rama Rao and is carrying forward its pro-people policies, the statement said. Visakha East MLA Velagapudi Ramakrishna Babu already announced a nine-day schedule of welfare programmes that would begin on Sunday the NTR death anniversary.
