Leaders of YSR Congress organised a dharna in front of the Collector’s office in Machilipatnam on Wednesday, demanding withdrawal of the increase in RTC bus fares. The protestors alleged that the Congress was imposing heavy burden on the common man by increasing the RTC bus charges. People were already facing hardships owing to increased prices of essential commodities and diesel, they said.

Party leaders S. Udaya Banu, M. Ramu, Gopal, Karthik and others participated in the dharna.

The YSRC activists staged a protest dharna at the Sub-Collector’s office in Vijayawada.

The protestors raised slogans against the prolonged power cuts, which were causing severe hardship to industrialists and the residents. They demanded the government to take measures for improving power position and rolling back the RTC fares in the State.

Party leaders P. Gowtham Reddy, Gokul Ramesh, Muzeed, and others participated in the programme.
