Dismissing claims that there is a tacit understanding between YSRC Party and Congress party, former MLA and YSRC’s city unit convener Jaleel Khan said that ‘understanding’ with UPA or for that matter NDA is ruled out.
“It is now only a matter of time before our leader Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy will be out of the Chanchalguda jail on bail and he always opined that regional parties will play a prominent role in the governance of the country. Keeping that in mind, we believe that if at all we lend our support it will be to the third front comprising of regional parties,” he said here on Tuesday.
Launching a scathing attack on Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu, he said, the TDP president was scared of Jagan and that is why he was indulging in making ‘dirty’ statements on Mr. Jagan.
“We are sure that he is hand in glove with the Congress in extending Jagan’s confinement in jail.” He further added, “We want to know why he was frequently going to Delhi when there was no necessity? Moreover, where was the necessity for him to disclose his assets on Monday when there was still time for elections?”
Dig at Naidu
Continuing his tirade on Mr. Chandrababu Naidu, Mr. Jaleel Khan alleged that he was indulging in ‘double talk’. In Telangana he is telling his leaders to go to the public and propagate TDPs’ stand on a separate Telangana basing on the letter through which he had given his consent for bifurcation and in the Seemandhra region he is telling the public that he is advocating justification for the people of the region.
Hinting at a relationship with the MIM in Telangana region, Mr. Jaleel Khan said, “It is not in Seemandhra region where we will win comfortably but shall also bag some seats in Telangana region, as we are in the process of getting into an understanding with the MIM.”
