Senior Congress leader and 20-point programme implementation committee Chairman N Tulasi Reddy on Wednesday led officials and non-officials in paying glowing tributes to Swami Vivekananda on his birth anniversary.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Reddy said India's future was in the hands of the youth. Taking inspiration from Vivekananda, who did the nation proud in the comity of nations, the youth should strive hard for all-round development of the country, he underlined.

District Collector Kantilal Dande and Zilla Parishad Chairperson K Arunamma were among those who spoke at the remembrance meeting organised by the Vivekananda Centre for Human excellence.

Students of schools and colleges took out a march and converged at the Kothapatnam bus stand centre where people from various walks of life paid floral tributes to the majestic statue of Vivekananda.
