A record 700 women participated in various programmes conducted at the Crazy Mega Event – 2010 held at Seshasai Kalyana Vedika here on Thursday. Mayor M.V. Ratna Bindu inaugurated the event being organised by different women groups of the city annually.
Stress buster
Addressing the participants, the Mayor said that home-makers were also subjected to a lot of stress.
Many of them were not even aware of the stress they undergo.
Such gatherings and celebrations helped them reduce the stress, she said.
The fancy dress competition with women dressed as brides of various religions and geographic areas of the country was the high point of the programme.
Women danced in groups, as couples and individuals to exhibit their prowess.
Gala time
The women watching the dancing also had a gala time swinging to the rhythm of the music.
A duo enthralled the gathering dancing with hoops wearing blind-folds.
