The scriptures contain all the wisdom needed to forge the personality of the youth to face the ups and downs of modern life.

The six-day summer camp ‘A confidence capsule’ being conducted by the youth wing of Chinmaya Mission, Chinmaya Yuva Kendra (Chyk), was inaugurated at the Chinmaya Swarna Prabha, the mission’s activity centre in Dasarivari Street of Suryaraopet.

Chinmaya Mission’s Acharya Swami Prathameshananda said the theme of the summer camp was ‘Steps for transformation’. The topics that would be covered during the camp were rising from fear to confidence, anatomy of failure, guide to decision-making and positive attitude, inspiring the self, and being a team India member.

The content for these topics had been drawn from the scriptures, teachings of Swami Vivekananda, Swami Chinmayananda, and other spiritual leaders.

The swamiji said self confidence was essential to meet the challenges of life.

The scriptures provide us all wisdom needed to take the right decisions while facing stress and difficulties.

The daily programme during the camp was mind-body alignment (8 a.m. to 8.30 a.m.), Acharyas’ inspirations on the theme (8.30 a.m. to 9.15 a.m.), group interactions and presentations (9.15 a.m. to 10.15 a.m.), video shows and guest lectures (10.30 a.m. to 11.15 p.m.), and games and creative activities (11.15 to 12 noon).
