Kiran should never have permitted the Telangana March, he says
Elected representatives opposed to the division of the State will sit together and come up with an action plan, Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal has said.
Addressing a press conference late in the evening in Vijayawada on Sunday, he said the Telangana March was allowed only because the voice of those against the division of the State was weak. This would not happen in the future because those opposed to the division would sit together and chalk out with an action plan.
Mr Rajagopal said that Chief Minister N.Kiran Kumar Reddy should never have permitted the Telangana March. He had to do it under unavoidable circumstances. This was the last time such a chance would be given to those demanding a separate state. The Ministers and MLAs who prevailed on the Chief Minister to grant permission should now answer. Mr Rajagopal wondered where the Minister and MLAs were when there were attacks on business establishments and on media. Fortunately there were no major incidents, or the Chief Minister would have lost his chair, Mr Rajagopal said.

we want telengana we didn't any violation in Hyderabad seemandhra cops only doing violation on telangana people why ??? they don't have any right to express their opinion what the hell all the people talking about this as a big mistake why now those you people express your words in this comments list just like only we express our extraordinary opinion.... jai telangana jai jai telangana....
It is pitiable to see that a newspaper of such high standards sees all
the issues related to the Telangana movement in a negative shade. This
has become the trend of this paper.
Why are people asking a state based on sentiment. Sentiments cannot govern the people, it only dictates the people.
State should be divided considering the benifits of people and securing their democratic rights, not on the basis of sentiment.
I wish the agitators understand this and work for better India.
Jai Hind.
You see a vandalism in the protest, I see the unity in the protest. If every person assembled there resorted to violence then Hyderabad would have been burnt by now. There are always few miscreants who create such problems when you have such a huge gathering. It is all about momentary outburst and should not be point to highlight when you discuss about this protest.
If people of Telangana continuously voting in favor of separate Telagana in all the elections since last 3 election with no other political manifesto, why there is no clear road map and clarity on this issue from the government. Everybody are worrying about money being invested by few people and temporaty political gain against the interest people of Telangana.
Why worry about Brand Hyderabad, when the people of Hyderabad part of Telangana are still suffering under the Andhra Rulers. Please think about the welfare of people then talk about brand.
This brand is for capitalist who wants to make more money.
Jai Telangana
Image of Hyderabad is not greater than the Parliament. Telangana state has been announced in the both houses of parliament and the process should be initiated soon instead of Sonia and Manmohan Singh sitting mum over the issue. Protect the image and dignity and decorum of Parliament. Otherwise Parliament will be ashamed among the national and international community and every Indian should be bothered about it.
Why these people want to cut the branch of the tree in which they are sitting? do they know how does it effects common man. all the IT people are shifiting to some other states like chennai and bangaloere leaving there own state because no projects are interseted in hyderabad due to this telangana issue. All these bandh and fightings are just for political purpose nothing else. Please stop all these and lets work towards the improvment and welfare of the state.
A humble request to Telangana educated elite (not to hurt anyone)
I accept every one will have emotional quotient and our mind reacts
for sentiments....
But just check the current situation... Government requested to postpone the march they didn't... Officials from 70 countries and UN representatives are present in the city... If they see this kind of environment in the city.. will this city get more opportunities for development???
Today they called off Bandh... even MMTS trains also not running... In these circumstances how people will come and work... So companies started thinking moving their development centers to other places... Remember these are not manufacturing companies need to move all infrastructure... If they decided to move U may think only people who are working in this industry may loose the job... but actually double the amount of people are dependent on this industry... those may be cab drivers, security guards, cleaning staff.. most of them are locals.
The movement is now in the hands of public, we the people. It is not in the hands of the politicians. What we have seen here is the politicians following public to safeguard their existence. The State Intelligence agency has grossly underestimated the fervor of the public, the people. In fact it failed to assess the mood of the people. Had the people been allowed without questioning, not a single stone throwing incident would have reported. The day is not too far, where the State and Central Government have to bow to the will of the public at large.
Plainspeaking has no meaning for the Telengana protagonists: Would the government not have created a separate state if it were that easy or logical? The fact is that it is too late in the day for separation: it is best that people of Andhra Pradesh keep silent and work hard for a better tomorrow.
Capitalists all worried about the brand Hyderabad.. what about the
villages?
solve this problem and provide peace in the region.
What, the pro-telangana activists should realise is the fact that division is not, always, the solution to welfare maximisation. Divisive forces, have always come to light, whenever and wherever regional turbulence existed; this we have seen in the case of the great partition, and we are currently also witnessing the same in the case of Kashmir. In a country as diverse as ours, it is not always possible to cater to every section's interests. Moreover, what this agitation has turned out to be is a fight for the city of Hyderabad, whose image, by the way, has received irreversible and irreparable damage. The proposal to convert Hyderabad into a Union Territory and a common capital for both the proposed states was repeatedly turned down by the TJAC. What they do not seem to see is the plight of the people of Andhra, who have worked as much as those from Telangana, if not more, to build Hyderabad. I hope both sections of the society come to a consensus on this issue soon.
In what fields we Indians show our excellence to the world? Very easy to
answer. In spending the days in bandhs or strikes, setting fire to
public properties forgetting that their creations are from our own money
collected as taxes, neglecting duties and responsibilities, defiling
public places and crowning all these traits, to be corrupt and
dishonest. So if any political organization calls for demonstration or
strike, it is the loss of lives or immense damage to public properties
that we have to log and not the purpose for which the call is given.
The march and the incidents clearly indicate two facts: 1. Democratic
expression for Telangana State is a total success, Ordinary people
have only one power i.e. their will. The rules of the game, here, are
not the same. The Government is omnipotent and the people don't have
any thing on their side except their will. I congratulate all the
people who made it to the Lake, inspire of all the hurdles put forth
by the Govt. 2. Government failed to feel the pulse of the people. The
famous definition of a democratic government i.e. "of the people, by
the people, for the people" has become a joke in the current context.
I think the question about "Hyderabad Brand" is irrelevant in this
context. If some one thinks that it is degraded by this incident, Govt
is to be blamed for that.
with due respects Mr. Praveen... They showed that people are still
suffering and the movement is still alive. Agreed that some will be
doing this for their political gains... how could you expect there
wont be... after all it's a free country and there will always be two
sides to a coin... please try to understand that these people
represent those millions who are sitting at their homes voiceless...
when you have a right to criticize a government you choose.. so do
they. The difference is that it is for their dignity and survival with
generations affected because of the step-treatment towards this
region. The media in this country is a farce with every one talking
about "Brand Hyderabad". When you are worried about brand Hyderabad..
they are worried about their villages and their livelihood and
injustice. What is the difference between you and them except that you
are literate, can read and comment on news published online.. What is
Brand Hyderabad anyway? Nothing is unfortunate!
Telangana sentiment is realistic, government should obey their demand. Separation of states won't damage country's prosperity. Now at least central government should take positive action towards Telangana.
Why March in Hyderabad, why can't some other place in Telengana. Nearly 30000 Hyderabad jobs. People living in Hyderabad are getting affected. It is very important for all of us to understand what a Hyderabadi wants?
I am very disappointed that my lovely city is no more peaceful. The huge
chaos created by political wings and communal people are forcing
international companies to close its offices and move towards gujarat.
Damn I am very disappointed. I do not want to go for work in other
states such as Maharashtra or Gujarat where i opt to be feel as
outsider. Hyderabad is a welcoming city and i wanted it to be that.
that's it.
If Gandhiji thought that violence was the way towards Independent India,
we wouldn't still be enjoying freedom. Because we have freedom now, we
cannot abuse it this way, by protests and vandalism. If Tanguturi
Prakasam garu could achieve it through non-violence so can people
sincerely hoping for Telangana. It's just a matter of time, the issue
will be settled before the next elections, so don't resort to violent
means putting ordinary citizens' lives and careers in jeopardy.
AP in general & Hyderabad in particular will stand to lose. Development will take a beating. Unemployment will come to the fore particulary at times of campus hires. IT/ITES companies are already contemplating a shift-out to Tier-II companies. HYD's loss would be Tier-II cities' (like Kochi)gain. The well to-do & haves would escape/migrate while the middle-class/have-nots will stand to suffer resulting in skewed development..!! The educated community, particularly the students & their parents should think about the future.
Why do we need to burn buses and vans to prove a point. Who suffers ? Government has nothing to do with it, what is the point?
We want Telangana.. I don't think we are in Independant India?? Give us a solution or mention a fixed time frame.. Don't play with sentiments of telangana people..
This is very unfortunate. The activists have gained nothing by doing so,
moreover tarnished the Brand Hyderabad. The failure to convince the pro
telangana activists to postpone the march shows the incompetence of
Congress Govts both at State and Centre. Steps should be taken to settle
the issue asap, without trying for political gains.
