VMC officers asked to prepare estimates for BRTS terminals

Municipal Commissioner G. Ravi Babu has directed the Town Planning and Engineering wing officials to identify places for constructing BRTS terminals.

The Commissioner, who visited several points, including Pandit Nehru Bus Station, C.K. Reddy Road, Padavala Revu, Ramavarappadu Ring Road, Hational Highway 5, and Mahatma Gandhi Road, asked the officers to identify places to construct bus terminals along the BRTS corridor.

He directed the staff to prepare estimates for constructing stops at APSRTC Bus Station, C.K. Reddy Road, Meesala Rajarao Bridge, Gunadala, ESI Hospital and M.G. Road (at Reliance). He asked the officials to arrange a meeting with Highway Authority officials for constructing shops along National Highway 5, at BRTS terminals.

Mr. Ravi Babu instructed the officials to work out on widening the road connecting Railway Station and C.K. Reddy Road and arrange greenery and food courts at Padvavala Revu. Steps should be taken to arrange advertisement boards to the electric poles and signals on BRTS Road, he said.

The civic chief directed the officials to make arrangements to remove electric poles for construction of foot over bridge on M.G. Road near Rythu Bazar.

Superintending Engineer Moges Kumar, city planner Chakrapani and other officers accompanied the commissioner.
