Bollywood hero Vivek Oberoi, who played Paritala Ravindra in Ram Gopal Varma’s gripping action flic ‘Rakta Charitra’ as Pratap Ravi, and Junior NTR were the cynosure of all eyes at the swearing-in of N. Chandrababu Naidu as Chief Minister on Sunday. In fact, he shot into fame in Tollywood with the two-part crime flick based on the TDP’s Anantapur strongman.
Mr. Oberoi travelled all the way from Mumbai to congratulate Paritala Sunitha on her induction into Mr. Naidu’s Cabinet. Having played the role of her husband to perfection in the RGV thriller, Mr. Oberoi personally wanted to convey his wishes to Ms. Sunitha.
She was, till the eleventh hour, not expected to find place in the Cabinet, but she successfully made it, thanks to her family’s long years’ of service to the party.
CamaraderieMr. Oberoi also took the opportunity to rub shoulders with a host of VVIPs who poured in from across the country for the impressive event.
Similarly, Jr. NTR hogged the limelight, shaking hands with fans, who vied with one another to get a glimpse of the matinee idol. Earlier in the morning, he paid floral tributes to his grandfather at Nimmakuru near Pamarru before setting out for the swearing-in ceremony at Acharya Nagarjuna University. Actor Kalyan Ram also accompanied. They also offered prayers at the local Venkateswara Swamy temple.
