April 21, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:47 am IST - VIJAYAWADA:

MP Kesineni Srinivas (Nani) has asserted that Vijayawada Parliamentary constituency would become a model one in the country in next three years. The MP, Krishna Collector Babu A, Tata Trusts Social Cops and Centre for Social Forestry representatives held discussions on micro-planning for 264 villages in Vijayawada constituency, here on Monday.

On the sidelines, Mr. Nani said that they were aiming at overall development of villages rather than emphasising on infrastructural facilities only.

The micro-planning would be done in such a way that socio-economic conditions of villagers would also be taken into account to chalk out plans for their uplift, he said.

Tata Group’s Charitable Trusts Chairman Ratan Tata was invited to launch the deveolopmental works under the Sansad Adarsh Grama Yojana in Krishna district.

Mr. Babu said that the government officials, Tata Trusts, Social Cops, and Centre for People’s Forestry would work as the “Team Krishna.”

Sector-wise surveys would completed by June and action plans would be prepared. Existing data would also be integrated with the project and used optimally in preparing the action plans. The micro-planning would be a turning point in the district , he said.

Sector-wise surveys will be completed by June, and action plans will be prepared for development of the constituency: MP
