A team of police visited Sri Abhaya Gold office, along with the company’s managing director Srinivas and other staff, in the city and collected some important documents on Friday. The company had allegedly duped customers of more than Rs. 100 crore.
The police who took Mr. Srinivas into custody enquired about the payments made by the customers, on what basis the company collected investments, receipt books and other details.
West Zone Assistant Commissioner of Police T. Hari Krishna who is monitoring the investigation of the case said the police were probing the transactions of each project of Abhaya Gold, and its operations.
The case is under investigation, he said.
Meanwhile, with the news published in newspapers that the company’s managing director was taken into custody by the police, several customers who made huge investments in Sri Abhaya Gold Group, waited at the court on the second day on Friday.
