Vijayawada police check vehicles

The police checked vehicles at several points in Vijayawada on Friday. The checks were done from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. as a preventive measure, said the police. Vehicles were checked at all major junctions, main roads leading into the city in East, West and Central Zones. All the Station House Officers and Sub-Inspectors took part in the drive. However, there were no confiscations and no one was taken into custody.
