Vijayawada builders merge with CREDAI

The Builders Association Vijayawada has been merged into the Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Association of India (CREDAI) and renamed as “CREDAI Vijayawada Chapter” at a function organised in the city on Friday.

CREDAI Andhra Pradesh President C. Sekhar Reddy who was the chief guest said that the organisation had chapters all over the country and had started CREDAI chapters in Hyderabad, Tirupathi and Visakhapatnam in the state.

Explaining about the main objectives of CREDAI he said that more transparency, self code of conduct and consumer protection were the main responsibilities of members of the organisation. He said that moral and ethical pressure would be imposed on a member of CREDAI and that the association would give assurance for all its members.

He further explained how the Association had conducted many meetings for all its members on an international level to give them a chance to interact. He said that these meetings were conducted to provide a common platform for all builders to meet and exchange information on the latest techniques developed in the building sector.

He also explained how the association was trying to simplify the process of getting a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the government and to bring the whole process under a single window for the builders to start work faster. He said that the CREDAI Vijayawada Chapter had been formed with the intention of helping customers and help in developing the city and that all initiatives would be for the benefit of the customers. He hoped that all the builders in Vijayawada would join this chapter.

Social welfare

Builders’ Association President A. Siva Reddy said that the association had been working hard for the past 25 years to provide houses to many people and a livelihood to many workers. He said along with working for their own benefit they had also organised many social welfare programmes. “We felt that we all need to come under a national organisation to face the many new laws that are being put into practice by the State and Central Government”, he said. This is the reason we decided to merge into CREDAI he said. V.G.T.M, U.D.A Vice- Chairman G.S.R.K.R. Vijay Kumar, VMC Commissioner G.Ravi Babu, Town and Country Planning Government of A.P Director B.Purushothama Reddy, Builders Association Vijayawada Vice- Presidents K.Santharam Prasad, Abdulla Baig, General Secretary R.V.Swamy, Joint Secretaries M.Rama Koteswara Rao, other officials and members were present.
