Vignan's Lara student excels

A Third Year B.Tech Electrical engineering student O.Swathi, has secured 96.7 percentile in the recently announced GATE result. She aspires to secure a rank below 10th in the 2011 GATE examination. Ms. Swathi had been securing above 80 per cent marks in her academics since first year. On this occasion she said that because of encouragement given by the faculty and the institution she could achieve the percentile in GATE. Besides academics, she actively participates in various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities in which she had bagged many prizes.

College Principal V. Madhusudan Rao and faculty congratulated her for her excellence in GATE. Vignan Laraites participated in VIVA 2010, a State-Level Youth Festival, organised by the VVIT, Namburu. T.T. Vijay Kumar, II B.Tech student of Electronics and Communications Engineering, got first place in Group Discussion and third place in Debate. Swathi and Alekhya, students of III ECE got first place in Folk Dance (Group) and second in Folk Solo.

V.Ramakrishna, Manoj Kumar, Madhav Gupta of III ECE bagged second prize in Quiz. K.Sai Sashank of III ECE won the third prize in Table Tennis. I. Mahesh, Ravi Teja of II EEE got third place in Paper Presentation in the Youth Festival.
