Venkaiah Naidu's collection of speeches released

The collection of speeches made by BJP national leader and third-time Rajya Sabha Member M.Venkaiah Naidu is a guide to all elected representatives and those who see politics as a career, said speakers at a meeting held to introduce his book “Aluperugani Galam, Viraamamerugani Payanam” here on Sunday.

Former Ministers Vadde Sobhanadreeswara Rao, Mandali Buddha Prasad, BJP state leader Khambampati Haribabu, former editor of Visalandhra Ch.Raghavachari, veteran journalist and Padmasri awardee Turlapati Kutumba Rao spoke at length on the various speeches Mr Naidu made in his illustrious political carrier.

Mr Naidu said that it was not sufficient to have great oratory skills. Commitment to an ideology and conviction in it were essential for a leader to achieve success. He said being elected to the Rajya Sabha three times and every time from Andhra Pradesh made him very happy. He said that he has achieved everything that he every wanted, but was glad to have been given yet another opportunity to serve the people.

Regaling the audience with his humour and alliteration Mr Naidu narrated various instances from his life and political career.

Inviting the educated, intellectual and the youth into politics he advised them to be committed to a proper ideology and work right to the very end. The publisher of the book D. Ashok Kumar welcomed the gathering.

Mr Sobhanadreswara Rao presiding over the meeting said that Mr Naidu who made to the top political echelons of the country made the Telugus proud. Mr Buddha Prasad said the fact the Mr Naidu became the president of National party that did not have much presence in the State showed that it was entirely his capabilities that took him to such a dizzy height.

The achievement of Mr Naidu was a matter of pride for people of Andhra Pradesh, he said.

Mr Haribabu said that the book was a guide to those entering politics and even those who were already in it.

Mr Kutumba Rao loudly proclaimed that there was no greater oratory than Mr Naidu in Andhra Pradesh.

Machilipatnam MP Konakalla Narayana, MLAs Dulipalla Narendra, Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, MLCs Ilapuram Venkaiah and Chigurupati Varaprasad were present.
