Two persons were killed and two received injuries after two transport vehicles met with an accident on the Kolkata-Chennai NH near Kodurupadu, Bapulapadu mandal of Krishna district. According to Hanuman Junction police, a van heading towards Kakinada from Hyderabad carrying an idol of Lord Ganesh was hit by another van travelling in the same direction during wee hours. Both the drivers of the vans, Ashok Reddy, 35 and Shiva, 35, died on the spot while each of their assistants sustained injuries.
