Traffic curbs for Teppotsavam in Vijayawada

The city police have taken steps for diverting traffic during the ‘Teppotsavam’ on Sunday, from 2 p.m till the end of the festival. All types of vehicles are diverted from Seetammavari padalu, Vinayaka temple, Kummaripalem centre, Prakasam barrage (Tadepalli side).

Vehicles going towards Gollapudi have to pass through Bandar locks, police control room, low bridge, Kaleswara Rao market, BRP road, King Plaza, VG Chowk, Chittinagar, Sitara junction and Kummaripalem. Vehicles entering the city from Gollapudi are diverted through Gollapudi by-pass road, Joji Nagar, Sitara junction, Kabela centre, milk project, Chittinagar, Yerrakatta, CWC godown, Sitannapeta gate, Sarada College, food junction, Padavalarevu, Eluru road and Ramavarappadu ring road.

RTC buses coming from Hyderabad side and city buses from Gollapudi are allowed on NH-9 up to Gollapudi from where they have to pass through Gollapudi by-pass road, Sitara junction, Kabela centre, milk project, Chittinagar, VG Chowk, Panja centre, Nehru road, Tarapeta, city bus terminal, low-bridge, Prakasam statue and Krishnalanka police station.

RTC buses and city buses going towards Hyderabad and to Gollapudi have to go through city bus terminal, Bandar locks, police control room, low bridge, Kaleswara Rao market, BRP road, King Plaza, VG Chowk, Chittinagar, Sitara centre, Cheruvu centre and Kummaripalem centre. VIP vehicle have to be parked at Model guest-house, Ashoka Pillar and Durga ghat downside. Vehicles of officers and staff of police and other government departments on festival duty are to be parked on the Gandhi Municipal High School Ground.

Devotees coming from Hyderabad side have to park their vehicles at TTD Kalyanamandapam and Punnami and Bhavani ghat areas.

Devotees coming from Mylavaram and Nuzvid have to park their vehicles at Gandhi Municipal High School, Tarapeta goods shed road and in the cellars of Kaleswara Rao market and Krishnaveni wholesale market. Devotees coming from Eluru and Guntur should park their vehicles at the old government hospital, Rajiv Gandhi wholesale market and Krishnalanka feeder road.
