Guntur's JKC College emerged winner of the State-level quiz and paper presentation competition for degree students organised by the Department of Electronics of Andhra Loyola College here on Friday.

It was a keenly fought affair with students displaying their presentation skills and intelligence to go one up in both the competitions and other participants listened in rapt attention, while the judges keenly observed the minute details of the topic of the paper, depth of the subject matter before finalising the winners. The P.B. Siddhartha College of Arts and Science and Y.N. College of Narsapur took the second and third places respectively.

The quiz competition, which was based on electronics, was conducted for the undergraduate students.

In the paper presentation held on four topics – embedded systems, 4G technology, solar power systems, and large hadron collider (HC) – Hyderabad Loyola Academy student V.S. Pranav clinched the first prize while R. Nandana (Nalanda Degree College) and K. Phani Kumar (T.J.P.S. College, Tenali) bagged the second and third places respectively.

Amid a lot of enthusiasm, students from all neighbouring districts and Krishna participated in the competitions and the ALC campus wore a festive look on Friday morning.

The Andhra Loyola Institute of Engineering and Technology Principal Dr. P. Durga Prasad Ojha, College Rector Rev. Fr. Stanley, Principal A. Francis Xavier, physics lecturer Sahaya Bhaskaran, Electronics HoD L. Ekambaram and staff coordinator P. Brahmam were present.
