Tension prevailed for a while at the VIP gallery at the venue of Chandrababu Naidu’s swearing-in, when the police forced the people to leave the area reserved for the dignitaries.

Unable to bear the scorching sun and heat wave conditions, people occupied the chairs in the VIP’s gallery. When police asked them to leave, the party activists and the people entered into an argument with the officers on duty. The irate people then damaged chairs and raised slogans asking the police to go back. As the situation went out of hand, security forces rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.

A few TDP senior leaders also rushed to the place and pacified the protestors.
