Temple staff protest against ‘manhandling’ of colleague

A tiff between Kanakadurga temple employee and One Town Circle Inspector M. Gita Rama Krishna led to a protest near toll gate at foothill of Indrakeeladri.

Temple staffers squatted near Kamadhenu temple and raised slogans against the police. They alleged that the police officer beat their colleague Reddappa Reddy, who was on duty at the toll gate. According to information, the temple employees issued tickets to ghat road users to climb up the hill though there was no parking space. The toll gate staff reportedly told the CI that they would follow instructions of the Executive Officer only. Enraged over this, the CI caught hold of the collar of Mr. Reddy , employees said.
