In his whirlwind tour covering three Assembly constituencies in Krishna district, YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy on Wednesday expressed confidence that the TDP would disappear in the State after the general elections.
In Challapalli village, Mr. Jagan said the TDP president, N. Chandrababu Naidu, failed to implement farmer-friendly schemes, driving the sector into an irreparable state. “The TDP is on its way to oblivion. It’s time for the voters to grill Mr. Naidu for his failure in implementing welfare schemes,” said Mr. Jagan.
In Krishna district, the stronghold of the TDP, Mr. Jagan spent half a day covering every strategic area including Challapalli, Ghantasala, Pamarru and Yuvvuru. In Pamarru town, Mr. Jagan, addressing the gathering, picked holes in TDP’s manifesto and said that it was aimed at fooling people of the State again. “Nine-years of Naidu’s rule is a testimony to how the State lagged behind in terms of development,” he said.
The YSRC leader would campaign in Pedana Assembly constituency on Thursday.
Rumours over Masula visitRumours have been spreading regarding Mr. Jagan’s deliberate attempt to skip his campaign in Machilipatnam Lok Sabha and Assembly constituencies. It is alleged that he does not want to visit Machilipatnam, citing non-cooperation from its Assembly candidate Perni Nani as a reason.
