The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has chalked out plans to organise Praja Garjna in a grand way in the city on March 13. The TDP urban committee discussed the Praja Garjana programme threadbare at a meeting in the city on Sunday.

TDP Polit Bureau member Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, who participated as chief guest, said the time had come to show the TDP strength. The onus was with the leaders to make the meeting a grand success. The leaders and workers need to toil hard and mobilise the people in good numbers, he said.

The people were averse to YSR Congress president Y.S. Jagan, who swindled crores of rupees during former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy tenure in the State. The TDP alone was party that faced no corruption charges or allegations, he said.

TDP Vijayawada (urban) parliamentary constituency incharge Kesineni Srinivas (Nani) said people were strongly in favour of TDP and its leader N. Chandrababu Naidu. They feel Mr. Naidu alone could bring back the spiralling prices of essential commodities, provide drinking and irrigation waters, ensure remunerative prices for the agricultural produce. Above all, Mr. Naidu, people opine, has abilities to put back the State on development track, he said.

TDP district president Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, urban president Buddha Venkanna, TDP Vijayawda (East) incharge Gadde Rammohan Rao, Vijayawada (Central) incharge Bonda Umamaheswara Rao, Vijayawada (West) incharge K Nagul Meera and others were present.
