Telugu Desam Party leaders and cadres here organised blood donation camps, distribution of clothes and various other service activities as part of the observation of the 14th death anniversary of their founder and former chief minister N.T. Rama Rao.
The TDP organised meetings at NTR circle, Patamata, where the statue of NTR was garlanded by several leaders, party district office on route No. 5, One Town and various other places. Actor-turned politician Kavitha participated in several meetings and recalled the memorable services rendered by NTR to the cause of the people of Andhra Pradesh.
Addressing the meeting at NTR Circle, Ms. Kavitha said it was because of NTR that the State got special recognition and fame across the world that was till then not known even in other parts of the country. She described NTR as a charismatic mass leader, whose role in both State and national level politics would be remembered for ever because his pro-poor policies.
TDP district convenor and Mylavaram MLA Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, Gannavaram MLA Dasari Balavardhana Rao, senior leader Ambati Brahmanaiah and other leaders participated in the meetings at various places. They asserted that the TDP would make all efforts to further strengthen the party among the grassroot level and fulfil the dreams of NTR.
