Many students who had passed out during 2008-2012 given their degrees

Engineering graduates should explore growing opportunities in other Asian countries, former commissioner of Technical Education, K. Lakshminarayana said here on Saturday.

Speaking at the Graduation Day celebrations of Nalanda Group of Institutions at a colourful function held at Sri Venkateswara Vignana Mandiram here on Saturday, Dr. Lakshminarayana said that students should be watching diligently the advances in science and technology and should learn two to three languages spoken in other Asian countries.

Certificates

Later, he gave graduation certificates to students who had passed out of various institutes.

Professor of Computer Science, JNTU, Kakinada, J.R.V. Murthy asked the students to imbue moral values and become better citizens.

Chairman of Nalanda Group of Institutions, A. Vara Prasada Reddy said that 494 students who had passed out of Engineering and Pharmacy colleges during 2008-2012 were given their degrees.

Gold medals

Gold medals were given away to meritorious students.

Secretary A. Vijaya Sarada Reddy was also present.
