Tangirala Sowmya, daughter of former MLA late Tangirala Prabhakar Rao, filed her nomination papers at MRO office for Nandigama by-election on Friday. Ms. Sowmya accompanied by a host of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders went in a procession from the party office to the MRO office. Earlier, she paid floral tributes at Tangirala Prabhakar ghat and Devineni Venkata Ramana ghat near here.

MPs Kesineni Srinivas (Nani), and Konakalla Narayana Rao, MLA Sriram Rajagopal (Tataiah), Krishna Zilla Parishad chairperson Gadde Anuradha, Telugu Rythu Krishna district president Chalasani Anjaneyulu, and others accompanied her.
