Taliban attack on school in Pakistan condemned

Muslim religious heads offered prayers to condole the death of the schoolchildren in Pakistan at Kesineni Bhavan here on Wednesday. TDP Minority leaders and Imams took part in the prayers.

On the occasion, they condemned the attack on the schoolchildren by Taliban. TDP Urban affiliated organisations in-charge K. Pattabhiram said that God would not pardon Taliban who resorted to such dastardly attack on the army school. “They are not waging a holy war, as they claim. A true Muslim will never support such activities,” he said.

Minority leaders Firoz, Fataullah, Fatekhan, Afsar, Nazeer, Habibulla, Karimulla and others were present.

In a related development, the members of Students Federation of India (SFI), Awaj Nagar committee, staged a protest against the attack in the city. The United Nations Organisation should set up a committee for world peace and prevent such attacks. Division convener Basha, Nazeer, Noor Ahmed, Md.Qader, SFI city vice president Akhil and others were present.

Students mourn death

Guntur Staff Reporter adds: Scores of students on Wednesday mourned the death of innocent students in Peshawar by taking out candle light vigils in the city. In a collective show of solidarity, students observed a two-minute silence at schools.

Students of Montessori Public School lit candles near the Mother Teresa statue at Lakshmipuram and observed a two-minute silence. Students of Kennedy School formed a human chain at Sankar Vilas Centre. Several students under the aegis of ‘Swecha’, a free software movement group, formed a human chain at Sankar Vilas Centre protesting the attack.
