Students urged to explore entrepreneurship

“We all tend to think that entrepreneurship is meant for somebody else. That’s a wrong perception. It is for everybody, any one of you can become a successful entrepreneur provided you are willing to work hard to achieve your goal,” said M. Satish, Managing Director of Tech-Marck Pvt. Ltd., a Singapore-based software company.

He was addressing students of V. R. Siddhartha Engineering College as part of a seminar on “Youth Entrepreneur—Need and Opportunities in India & Singapore”.

As a first generation entrepreneur with a passion to share his experiences with aspiring entrepreneurs, he explained to them about the global economic scenario, rise in youth unemployment and the need to inculcate entrepreneurial thinking.

Explaining about the several favourable conditions the Singapore Government provided to foreign entrepreneurs which in turn had helped that country to generate several revenue-generating pockets, he said there was no reason why the AP youngsters should not take advantage of the facilities.

“You don’t need an MBA degree; you just have to feel it in your gut,” he insisted. Mr. Satish then enlightened the students on the starting operations, whom should one do business with, what areas they can evolve and how to plan.
