Students take out rally for Samaikyandhra

If marks and attendance was given to the students for participating in agitation every one would have got distinction and full attendance.

Hundreds of college students came on to the roads to participate in processions holding banners and placards and in cycle rallies holding Samaikyandhra flags.

The samaikyandhra flag with a picture of the undivided Andhra Pradesh and images of Telugu Thalli and Potti Sriramulu are seen in the hands of students more than any other flag.

The Students JAC under the leadership of its convener Devineni Avinash took out a rally from Benz Circle.

The students and faculty of Andhra Loyola College made their voice heard for the unity of the State by taking out a rally with banners and placards, blocking the National Highway No.5.

The different associations of the APNGOs took out rallies in different areas inviting all to attend the Save Andhra Pradesh going to be held here on Friday. The Women employees of the ICDS department turned up in strength under the leadership of Annapurna Devi and raised slogans for a united state.

Vijayawada West MLA Vellampalli Srinivasa Rao addressing meeting in his constituency said that the Centre should take into consideration the Samaikyandhra movement that was growing from strength to strength and withdraw the decision to divide the State.

Talking to employees and directors of the Durga Cooperative Urban Bank said neither the TDP nor the YSR Congress party had the moral right to criticise the decision of the Congress with regard to the proposed division of the State.

Vijayawada Municipal Corporation JAC president D. Eswar appealed to all municipal employees to turn up in strength for the Save Andhra Pradesh meeting.

VMC Revenue Inspectors, Bill Collectors, Engineers and others took part in the relay fast on Wednesday.

VMC JAC members Prakash Sagar, Narayana Babu, K. Rambabu and others participated. The Andhra Motor Merchants Association in a resolution extended support to the ‘Save Andhra Pradesh’ meeting and appealed to members of all allied associations to attend the meeting.
