The students of the KKR’s Gowtham School, Gudavalli, and the St. John’s School, Gunadala, were cynosure of all eyes at The Hindu ’s Car- Free Sundays programme organised in association with the Vignan’s University in the city on Sunday.

Cultural performances by the students of both the schools attracted the participants and the passers-by at the NH service road near Yalamanchili Complex.

Speaking on the occasion, KKR’s Gowtham School principal G. Padmakala stressed the need for motivating children to refresh their minds from routine Sundays.

“Having an opportunity to dance and take part in the cultural activities on winter mornings is good for the children who refuse to wake up early,” Ms. Padmakala said.

Meanwhile, fun-filled activities like games, reading and interactive programmes engaged the participants who actively took part for more than two hours.

Zumba dance, yoga, cycling and others were also part of the event. A large number of students and morning walkers took part in the event.

St. John’s School president Suman, principal Ramabharati and others were among those present.
