Students get hands on experience on Android apps

Vignan’s Foundation for Science, Technology & Research University’s Department of Computer Science and Engineering association with Cognizance, National Level Technical Fest of IIT Rurkie conducted a two day workshop on “Android Application Development” on the university campus on March 4 and 5.

Experts like Vikas Chauhan and Pankaj Singh from Finland Labs were specially invited for the workshop. During the workshop, the resource persons highlighted the importance of the android applications and discussed various android applications like Dialling pad, Music Player, Calling App, Camera App, Picture Animation App etc,.

They also conducted practical lab sessions enabling the students to get hands on experience on how to develop android apps. In all, 55 B.Tech and M.Tech students and three student coordinators attended the workshop.

Sage advice

In inaugural session Dr. N. Gnaneswara Rao, HOD, CSE asked the students learn well and encouraged them to participate in IIT-Roorki Tech Fest, said a press release.
