‘Strengthen hands of downtrodden in Telangana'

The Joint Action Committee of Backward and Weaker sections of society on Sunday released a poster in Guntur supporting the proposed programme on the Tank Bund in Hyderabad on April 6. “We need to strengthen the hands of the Backward and Weaker sections in Telangana region also that they were politically empowered,” said United Andhra Political JAC Convener N. Samuyelu while formally releasing the poster in the city.

A ‘Melukolupu' rally would be taken out from Satavahana king's statue to bring awareness among the Telangana region weaker sections people to make them politically more powerful as in the Telangana movement their role was very limited, said BW JAC Convener Y.V. Suresh. The programme originally scheduled for April 5 has been put off to April 6 following the observance of Babu Jagjeevan Ram Jayanthi. Congress Minority Cell leader M.D. Hidayat, Praja Rajyam leader official spokesperson Krosur Venkat, Nimmakayala Rajanarayana and others were present on the occasion.
