State-level chartered accountants’ meet

The ICAI, New Delhi, vice-president Subodh Kumar Agrawal will inaugurate the two-day conference at Hotel Fortune Murali Park on Saturday.

The Vijayawada branch of Southern India Regional Council (SIRC) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) will host the A.P. State level Conference of Chartered Accountants on July 7 and 8.

The ICAI, New Delhi, vice-president Subodh Kumar Agrawal will inaugurate the two-day conference at Hotel Fortune Murali Park on Saturday.

Disclosing this to the newsmen here on Thursday, ICAI Vijayawada branch chairman Kunda Rama Narayana said that SIRC chairman (from Chennai) K. Viswanath will be the guest of honour for the conference.

About 500 Chartered Accountants (CAs) from all over the State will participate in the conference. A special session on ethics in the profession would be conducted during the programme, he said.

Secretary A. Akkaiah Naidu said that experts in the profession will explain on ‘Special issues in taxation of immovable properties’, ‘SMPs in CA profession – The way forward’, ‘Accounting standards for non corporates, ‘Assessment, reassessment and rectification under IT Act, ‘Provisions of the Companies Bill, 2011 and other topics.

Registrations

Participants can make registrations by July 6, by paying Rs.1,500 and spot registrations can be done by paying Rs.1,650, said Mr. Naidu.
