The Joint Entrance Main Examination (JEE Main) will be conducted on April 2 at 40 centres in Vijayawada, and 25,133 candidates are appearing for the exam, according to a release from Central for Board Secondary Education (CBSE) Executive Engineer here on Friday.

The first paper will be held from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. for three hours in mathematics, physics and chemistry and in the afternoon from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., second paper will be held in mathematics, aptitude and drawing. The CBSE official requested the district administration to make the necessary security arrangements at two places — the place of delivery of confidential material and examination centres. The confidential material will be transported from place of delivery to the exam centres by CBSE officials and the post-exam material will be handed over to the city coordinator after the completion of the exam.

Both Commissioner of Police and SP (Machilipatnam) were asked to arrange two policemen to escort the confidential material during the transportation from the place of delivery to the each exam centre. The police will remain with CBSE officials till the post-exam material is handed over to the city coordinator. The Divisional Medical Officer is also instructed to arrange first aid in all exam centres.
