About 1,250 tonnes of stone is being used for temple construction and over 150 sculptors are working on sculpting the rocks at Mahabalipuram, besides 40 sculptors at Austin. Everyday four containers of pillars, statues and other figures were being transported to the United States. It is being constructed by Craig and Jill Edwards, founders of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Temple of Austin, claimed Mr. Annavarapu while addressing a press conference here on Sunday.

On 7 acres

Sri Sai Baba temple is constructed over an area of 11 acres and the Sri Venkateswara temple is coming up in seven acres. Nineteen experienced priests from the country would be performing the Mahakumbhabhishekam and other rituals, he added.
