The admirers of revolutionary literature penned by eminent poet and writer Sri Sri have a treasure waiting to be explored at Vijayawada Book Festival (VBF) in the stall set up by Sri Sri Sahitya Nidhi. It has a rich collection of books written by the great writer who took the Telugu literary world by storm with ‘Mahaprasthanam’, ‘Maro Prapancham’ and many other influential works. There are also books written on Sri Sri by famous writers of his era.

Visitors can pick up from a host of special publications brought out on the occasion of his birth centenary, quarterly bulletins, posters and books.

Apart from some of the great works of Sri Sri, a special publication containing articles written on him by 100 writers stands out as main attraction. Besides, Sri Sri Sahitya Nidhi has come up with a special offer of distributing for lifetime, bulletins on Sri Sri, free of cost (excluding postal charges) to those registering their names and 100 books worth Rs 3,500 for just Rs 1,000 on subscription.

“These schemes have received encouraging response and we are enthused to continue the good work for the sake of letting the coming generations know who Sri Sri was and his profound impact on society”, organisers Sri Sri Sahitya Nidhi’s Singampalli Ashok Kumar and Prajasahiti magazine chief editor Kotthapalli Ravibabu said.

They said they had been striving to impart the lessons Sri Sri had left for posterity through Arasam (Abhyudaya Rachayitala Sangham), Virasam (Viplava Rachayitala Sangham), Praja Sahiti and Sahitya Sravanthi . “The stall at VBF is a window for people to peep into the world of Sri Sri who was rightly called ‘Mahakavi’”.
