Special trains to clear passenger rush

The South Central Railways Vijayawada Division will run special trains and additional booking counters to clear extra rush of passengers due to the festive season.

Special trains will be operated from Kakinada to Secunderabad; Visakhapatnam to Nanded, Kollam, Shirdi, Chennai Central and Hyderabad; Chennai Central to Shalimar; Santragachi to Hyderabad and Bangalore; Tirupathi to Aurangabad, Karimnagar and Secunderabad; Kochuveli to Gauhati; and Bangalore to Patna.

In the Vijayawada station four addition booking counters will be opened along with one each in Tenali, Kakinada Port, Kakinada Town, Rajahmundry, Samalkot and Tuni.

In addition to this, additional coaches will be attached from October 16 to October 31 for the Visakhapatnam- Secunderabad Garibrath Express (one Third A.C coach), Bhubaneswar-Secunderabad Visakha Express (one Third A.C coach), Narsapur-Hyderabad Narsapur Express (one Second A.C coach), Vijayawada-Shirdi Amaravathi Express (two sleeper coaches), Vijayawada-Hubli (two sleeper coaches on Saturdays only) and Hubli-Vijayawada Amaravathi Express (two sleeper coaches on Mondays only).
