Special Public Prosecutor trapped by ACB

V. Rajendra Prasad, Special Public Prosecutor, Special Courts, SC/ST cases, was caught red handed by the Anti-Corruption Bureau sleuths while accepting a bribe of Rs.10,000 from a complainant at NTR Municipal Stadium here on Wednesday evening.

Prasad was on his evening walk when the complainant, Narasimha Rao, approached him and handed him Rs.10,000. The ACB personnel who were present nabbed Prasad. The mandatory tests and the numbers on the currency notes matched those of the ACB.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (ACB) M. Raja Rao said the special PP had been demanding Rs.50,000 from Narasimha Rao to argue the case in his favour. Inspectors Seetharam, Narasimha Reddy were present.
