‘Sonia better than Modi, Naidu, Jagan’

May 01, 2014 12:22 am | Updated 12:22 am IST - VIJAYAWADA:

Sonia Gandhi was on any day a better leader than Narendra Modi, N.Chandrababu Naidu or Y.S.Jaganmohan Reddy, and none of them had the more right to attack the president of the Congress party, said Pradesh Congress Committee secretary Kolanukonda Sivaji.

He said the meeting to be addressed by Ms Gandhi in Guntur on May 2 would be crucial for residuary Andhra Pradesh.

He said the State was bifurcated because of the pressure brought on the Congress party by the BJP, Telugu Desam Party and other political parties, but a special category status was granted to residuary Andhra Pradesh by the Congress party.

Peace and harmony

He said under the Congress party there was peace and harmony in the country and there was no war with the neighbouring countries. There was war with neighbouring countries and communal disharmony when the BJP was at the helm of affairs, the PCC Secretary alleged.
