Smooth start to Intermediate examinations

The First Year Intermediate Public Examinations commenced at various centres in the city and district on Friday.

A total of 97,330 students had enrolled to appear at the Intermediate examination from the district this year. The examination was held at 113 centres including 64 urban, 33 rural and 16 centres in the agency areas.

Students reached the examination centres well in advance and no confusion or problems were reported from any of the centres.

A total of 46,645 students have registered to appear at the I year examination, which includes 5,331 under the vocational stream. A total of 2,672 students failed to attend for the examination in both streams.

Regional Inspection Officer of the Intermediate Board D. Ramanjaneyulu said that there were no untoward incidents from anywhere in the district on the first day.

RTC operated special buses to the examination centres from various locations in the city for the benefit of students.
