YSRCP leader P. Gowtham Reddy emphasises need for intensifying vigil in twin cities
Skaters of Bezwada Roller Skating Association, numbering over 50 from several schools, on Sunday, took part in a rally condemning the dastardly bomb attack by anti-social elements at Hyderabad recently.
Participants from Ravindra Bharathi, Sri Chaitanya and Bhashyam Public school, carried placards and banners and skated around the thoroughfares of the city voicing their concern over the incident and demanding steps for a peaceful world.
They, wearing the skating uniform including headgear, started the rally from the rink near Food Junction in Satyanarayanapuram and skated via the BRTS Road, Madhuranagar, Durgapuram and Sambamurthy Road, culminating at Alankar Theatre in Gandhinagar. Flagging off the rally, YSR Congress leader P. Gowtham Reddy emphasised the need for intensifying the vigil in twin cities and also prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured. He offered condolences to the families of the bereaved.
Former corporator Y. Srinivas, Bezwada Roller Skating Association secretary B. Murali Krishna, Deputy Superintendent of Police Krishna Murthy and parents of the skaters took part in the flag-off function. At the Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium, members of the Lok Satta Party led by Krishna District Lawn Tennis Association president K. Pattabhi Ramaiah and Rotarian Chennupati Vazeer took part in the rally condemning the bomb blast.
