A delegation from Singapore accompanied by Municipal Administration Minister P. Narayana at the Gannavaram airport near Vijayawada to undertake an aerial survery of proposed Capital city on Wednesday.

The visit of the delegation of the State government and Singapore officials for conducting a survey of the capital region turned out to be a simple affair.

The delegation conducted an aerial survey of the proposed region covering Tullur and its neighbouring mandals in a helicopter and the entire exercise lasted less than two hours. Aerial survey was chosen as the government reportedly wanted to avoid any scope of embarrassment to the delegation in view of resistance from a section of farmers to the land pooling. After its aerial survey, the team left for Hyderabad in the afternoon.

A special helicopter was arranged for the delegation’s aerial survey. After taking off at Hyderabad at around 9 a.m., the delegation conducted the aerial survey of the proposed capital region for nearly two hours and arrived at the Gannavaram airport around 11 a.m. The delegation left for Hyderabad after a brief interval.
