The presence of world top ranked player Sindhu at the synthetic shuttle badminton courts at the Guntur Club added sparkle to the event organised by the Andhra Pradesh Badminton Association. “I am happy to be in Guntur which has produced top players like Kidambi Srikanth. I used to visit Guntur often while I was a junior player and I appreciate the efforts of Guntur Club in hosting a senior national ranking tourney, in which top national players across the country are taking part,” Ms. Sindhu said. Earlier, Ms. Sindhu visited the synthetic shuttle courts and played a couple of rallies with Mr. Pulla Rao. Much to the delight of other players, Ms. Sindhu interacted with a few players and encouraged them. Ms. Sindhu’s father and Arjuna Awardee P.V Ramana Rao was present.
