The central investigation agencies probing into terrorist activities in the State reportedly picked up some suspects from Andhra Pradesh.

After the killing of two Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) activists in Nalgonda in Telangana a few days ago, police recovered tickets booked to Vijayawada from Hyderabad from the deceased.

According to sources, the agencies picked up a few former SIMI activists and suspects who allegedly have links with the terror operatives from Krishna and Guntur districts and are questioning them. Police are investigating whether SIMI operatives visited capital region or any other place in the State earlier.

Investigation officers suspect that some banned terror outfits are planning to operate in AP post bifurcation.

After Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) attacks, the State and Central agencies are observing the comments in social media posted by some youth, in different places and have kept a tab on their movements. Meanwhile, the local police are investigating on the purpose of the SIMI activists’ visit to the city.
