City-based Samana Institute for Design Studies (SIDS) has added yet another arm to the institute by launching Samana Architects & Interior Designers.
CEO and managing director of SIDS Samana Moosavi, in collaboration with V. Hari Priya, founder and chief architect of Hyderabad-based Curve Architects & Engineers Pvt. Ltd., formally launched the new wing at a function held in Hotel Gateway on Saturday. Ms. Hari Priya, who has been a visiting faculty at the Samana institute for last one year, said SIDS has been doing extremely in comparison to other places including metropolitans.
“This is a new platform we are creating for the young local talent to shape to their dreams by honing their innate skills here. Vijayawada is an education hub and most students generally pursue design studies simultaneously, along with academics. I am sure the ingenious talent here will make the best of the opportunity,” she said.
SIDS, which is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University (JNAFAU), had recently launched courses in air hostess and cabin crew in addition to introducing skill development courses, especially for housewives. M. Sireesha from Delhi-based Consumer Forum lighted the traditional lamp marking the inaugural while city-based psychiatrist Radhika Reddy, managing director of Akshara School K. Anil Kumar, senior auditor Ramana Murthy and others were present.
