In a bid to create awareness among motorists and parents of schoolchildren, the district transport department is screening two thought provoking short films in all the cinemas in Krishna district.

The two short films titled Towards Zero and School Bus were directed by Motor Vehicle Inspector Voleti Srinivas. According to him, they are currently being played along with the feature film in cinemas across the district.

School Bus is an award winning short film that emphasises the need for safety of schoolchildren while travelling in school buses. The short film has earlier bagged third place in the national level awareness short film contest organised by the Automotive Research Association of India, apex research institute of the automotive industry and the union ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprise, according to Mr. Srinivas.

“The idea is to provoke the viewers to think about driving safe on the roads without causing any trouble to others as well as themselves. Watching Towards Zero with family will have right impact on the viewers,” Mr. Srinivas said.
