SHAR to organise more activities at ISSE Amaravati Chapter

Professional body will create a platform to create new ideas: SHAR Director

Andhra Pradesh Skill Development Corporation Director K. Lakshminarayana launched the Indian Society of Systems for Science and Engineering (ISSE), Amaravati Chapter, here on Monday.

ISSE is a professional body to promote the professionals of different domains and is manned by the employees of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), said SHAR Director P. Kunhikrishnan, who is also the ISSE national president.

Speaking after inaugurating the at K.L. Rao Bhavan, Dr. Lakshminarayana thanked the ISRO officials for launching ISSE Amaravati Chapter in Vijayawada, and asked the new body to interact with academicians, traders, industrialists, researchers and students to bridge the gap between schools and colleges.

Stating that only 20 per cent of the students coming out from engineering colleges are fit for jobs, the director said the thinking of a student begins from the school age and professional bodies should visit schools, give inputs for the students from higher classes and make them select the course of their choice right from school-level.

Stressing the need for collaboration between various academic institutions, industries and research wings, the Skill Development Corporation Director said that critical thinking, collaboration, communication, creativity and courage will play a key role in the 21{+s}{+t}century.

Mr. Kunhikrishna said that ISSE will create a platform for students and professionals of multi-disciplines to create new ideas, which helps in the development of the nation. Guest lectures, seminars, workshops and debates will be organised with eminent personalities through the new ISSE Chapter, he said.

Combination of experts

“ISSE is a combination of experts from various domains and enlighten the systems at national-level. Along with AP Capital Amaravati, ISSE will also grow and SHAR has taken a decision to reach to the new State capital by organising more activities in the coming days,” Mr. Krishnan said.
