Minister for Medical and Health Kamineni Srinivas on Sunday inaugurated the regional Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme conducted jointly by the Andhra Pradesh Medical Council and the Indian Medical Association (IMA). In his address, he listed out the problems plaguing the hospitals and called upon the medical fraternity to rise up to the occasion to serve the poor and needy. A panel discussion was conducted on the recent Acts and the problems of hospitals. He was felicitated on the occasion by APMC Vice-Chairman and convener D. Srihari Rao, IMA and APNA State past president C. Subramanyam, APMC Chittoor district convener K. Venkateswarlu and IMA Tirupati president K.H. Vasudeva Naidu. A total of 1,200 delegates from the Rayalaseema and Nellore districts took part in the CME, where experts delivered lectures on topics including latest trends and advanced medical intervention.
