Senior Congress leader Kagita Dhanujaya passes away

Senior Congress leader Kagita Venkata Dhanujaya died of cardiac arrest in a hospital here, family sources said today.

Mr. Dhanujaya, who was ill for long time, was admitted to a corporate hospital here four days ago, where he breathed his last on Wednesday.

He was 59 and is survived by wife, two sons and a daughter.

The leader served as sarpanch of Vemagiri, District Congress SC Cell President and General Secretary of State Scheduled Caste front.

Rajahmundry MP, U Arunkumar, Amalapuram MP G V Harshkumar, Rajahmundry MLA R Suryaprakasha Rao and other leaders including MLCs and district leaders visited the departed leader’s house and paid rich tributes to him.
